JeanLafitteFT-CrazyKidsIt’s an exciting time to be at Myrtle Place Elementary as we welcome both a new principal and asst. principal as well as establishing a brand new Parent Teacher Organization. We welcome each and every one of you to get involved improving our school’s community at some level, large or small.

Do you have specific talents or areas of expertise that you would be willing to share in future PTO projects? Creative? Good with woodworking? Do you sew? Are you a good gardener? Do you sing? Are you better at working behind the scenes? Do you play an instrument? Do you have experience with grant writing?

Just the Beginning

Beautification of the Cafeteria started last Fall with a group of parents, Ms. Thompson and Ms. Wimberly gathering to scrape paint, clean and pressure wash the exterior of the cafeteria. A BIG thanks to all involved, especially Mark Falgout for the pressure washing! The next step is another cleaning and a few fresh coats of paint.

Ms. Thompson has filed the paperwork for the LPSS Maintenance Dept. to continue where we left off. We’ll keep you posted on the progress!
